Plants, Pitties, and Power Foods

I am a dog mom. I never had the urge to have kids but always loved animals, especially dogs. My first dog as a “grown up” was my little Yorkie, Meka. She was a princess, all 2.5 lbs of her. Of course, shortly after getting a divorce and moving her and I to a condo, one of my friends found a puppy in a bag at a local Walmart. I felt so bad for this little creature. She had a big ‘ole belly full of worms and just looked so helpless. I had to have her. I met my friends up at the lake that weekend and decided that Meka needed a sister….even though Meka definitely hated sharing attention. This started my rescuing of dogs, although, they probably think they rescued me and they may just be right.
