The girls

The girls

I was perfectly content with my little pack after Meka passed. Of course that is not what the universe had planned for me. A couple of months later an acquaintance of mine had purchased a boy pitty and he was too much for her. I told her I would foster him until I could find him a home. I had him for about 2 weeks before finding him a forever home. He was definitely a handful but Pennie and Tisdale tolerated him. Within a couple of days of finding him his home, a different acquaintance who had the boy pitty’s sister contacted me about taking the last two girls that the owner of the mom pitty had. I made it very clear that I am not purchasing these puppies but would give them a great home and hopefully find them forever homes as well. These two girls were in bad shape. They were so afraid of people, skin and bones…..nothing like their two other litter mates that had homes. I felt so bad for them. I had to help them. It didn’t take long to figure out how bad they were mistreated but how much they wanted to be loved. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs since I brought them into my home, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Needless to say, over a year later, I still have Blu and Dot. Pennie and Tisdale do not care for the girls, especially now that they are 60-65lbs each and Pennie is only 43lbs and Tisdale 35lbs but we make it work……most of the time.
